Central Environmental Authority

Central Environmental Authority is the key agency for the implementation of overall air pollution control policies and measures. The CEA conduct the air quality monitoring using the mobile ambient air quality monitoring unit from the VET Trust Fund.

National Building Research Organization

National Building Research Organization act as the research organization on air quality management. The VET Trust Fund will seek the scientific advice of NBRO on the preparation of emission inventory an air quality monitoring.

Universities act as the research organizations on air quality management. The VET Trust Fund will seek the scientific advice through university research projects related to air quality management. Partner Universities are;

Other Institutes

  VET project office has conducted several public awareness programmes among Environmental Police officers, Army, Navy & Air force officers about the VET programme.
Creation of newspaper, TV and radio advertisements regarding the program was very helpful to create awareness among public.
sl The Ministry of Mahaweli Development & Environment
They facilitates the AirMAC through development of policy and legislative framework. The Ministry of Mahaweli Development & Environment leads the policy coordination unit and the overall administration of the AirMAC.
slab Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB)
They work as the authority to Conformity Assessment of VET Centers Island wide and provide training to accessors with related to vehicle emission testing for VET center inspectors and garage mechanics.
sl Measurement Units, Standards & Services Department (MUSSD)
Providing calibration facilities for the calibration of VET equipment’s island wide centers and they also facilitates the VET Trust Fund through development of policy and legislative framework.
